Stop and think

Stop and think……….. There are a lot of folks in the church who think that because the attend worship on Sunday and Bible classes during the week that this is all that is required of one to stay saved. They have done their part and the rest of the week is theirs to what they deem necessary. Some folks leave the church house shake the preachers had say something to the effect of that was a good lesson and no sooner to they get in the car they have forgotten what the preacher even said. They get home put down their bible and it isn't touched again till midweek or maybe even the next Sunday.

Some folks say there are plenty of other members taking the word and teaching others so I don't have to not realizing that those others maybe feel the same way. Too many folks have this idea hey, it is the preachers or teachers job to bring others to Christ.

None of the above attitudes are a Christian attitude. None of the above principles are found in the scriptures.

What is found in the scripture are people who went out everywhere teaching and spreading the good news. Act_8:4 They therefore that were scattered abroad, went about preaching the word. Read also Act 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Act 13:49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

I ask you why should it be any different for us. We sit and watch those in error go out and spread that error and lead others astray preaching doctrines of men. It is incumbent upon each of us to do our part no matter how small we may believe that part to be.
